Greek Salad

Ingredients
- 2 pcs tomatoes - ripe, cut into chunks
- 1 pcs cucumber - sliced into half-moons
- 0.25 pcs red onion - thinly sliced
- 100 g feta cheese - block or large chunks
- 60 g Kalamata olives - pitted
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar - or lemon juice
- 0.5 tsp dried oregano
- 0.25 tsp salt - to taste
- 0.25 tsp black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Cut tomatoes into chunks and slice the cucumber and red onion.
- Add tomatoes, cucumber, onion, and olives to a bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar (or lemon juice). Sprinkle oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Toss gently and top with feta. Serve right away.
Notes
Traditional Greek salad (horiatiki) is usually served without lettuce. Keep the feta in larger pieces so it stays creamy.
